Quilts being donated to the NICU units are approximately 36” by 42”. Quilts going to the Pediatric Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit can be the same size as the NICU but also some larger for older patients. Quilts being donated to Ronald McDonald House are lap to twin size for the families staying there.

We donate quilts to Mott NICU, St. Joseph's/Trinity Health NICU, Children's Hospital of Michigan NICU, the PCTU at Mott Hospital and the special care nursery at Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson. We also donate to the Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor.

We LOVE new volunteers. You can pick up kits/batting to make quilts at The Quilting Season, 7025 E Michigan Ave # A3, Saline, MI 48176. Finished quilts can also be dropped off at the Quilting Season. A large percentage of our quilts come from quilters who use their own materials and just donate to us. We get very excited with those and fondly call them our "bonus" quilts. You can also join us on our work party days at the Saline American Legion from 10-4 on the first Thursday of each month. We meet from September to May. Check our Facebook page for ways to sign up.

Yes! We gratefully accept donations of 100% cotton and/or cotton flannel fabric. Most useful are pieces from 1 yard in size and larger. We are especially grateful for fabrics that are bright and cheerful juvenile-themed fabrics for our NICU quilts. Fabrics for Ronald McDonald House can be cheerful fabrics appropriate for older family members.

Yes! Search for “Preemie Pals” on Facebook. Every quilt donated to the project has been photographed and posted there. Our website has sample pictures of our quilts in use and for your inspiration.
-
Each of our quilts has a stamped heart label on the back of the quilt. Those heart labels are in the kits or individual labels are available at the Quilting Season. We encourage our quilter artists to sign the label with an encouraging message and their name. (first names only please)
